CEA has been in operation for 33 years and during this period has been involved in major and medium scale projects in Sri Lanka by itself and in association with other consultants, local and international.

CEA is a member of the consortium, in association with the Pacific Consultants International of Japan, Oriental Consultants Ltd. of Japan and two other local firms, that was awarded the Construction Supervision Consultancy for Outer Circular Highway Project in Sri Lanka.

  26. The Design of an Expressway/Toll Road to link Colombo International Airport (Katunayake) to the city of Colombo for the Road Development Authority in association with Japan Bridge and Structures Institute Inc. and Nippon Koei Ltd. ( This Design later abandoned due to public protests)
  27. Pre-feasibility Study for an Outer Circular Road to the City of Colombo with Road Link to Ratnapura for the Road Development Authority proposing alternate schemes to reduce the traffic load on the existing network.
  28. Institutional Strengthening of the Road Development Authority including the setting up of Computerized Pavement and Bridge Management Systems in Association with Transport and Road Research Laboratory of U.K., Rendel Palmer & Tritton Consulting Engineers, U.K., and Ove Arup and Partners, UK., funded by the ADB.
  29. Rehabilitation of 109 km of Roads and 8 multi span concrete Bridges in the Ampara District, Package 3 of the World Bank funded Emergency Restoration and Rehabilitation Project for the Road Development Authority.

Investigation, design and preparation of Contract Documents for ICB for the Rehabilitation of Roads totaling 84 km in the Western and North Western Provinces, Package 3 of the World Bank funded Third Road Rehabilitation Project for the Road Development Authority, Assisted the World Bank Team in the Project preparation of the Roads Components of the Emergency Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Programme, Sri Lanka.

  • Industrial Buildings CEA provided architectural and engineering services include, Raja Soya milk powder factory and effluent treatment & disposal system  at MahaIluppallama, factory for Associated Cables at Piliyandala,  News Paper Printing facility for Lake House,  Electrical component factory for BPG (Lanka) at Katunayaka FTZ and 250,000 litre water sump and car park for Associated Newspapers,
